Mario Barth did his first ink at the age of 12 in Austria, where tattooing was completely outlawed. It was a skull.
That skull has taken Mario around the world and back and paved the way for many successes.
An artist, dreamer, businessman, and spiritual ink guide, Mario continues his relentless pursuit of giving back to the tattoo community, all of the good fortune it has bestowed upon him.
Along side photo editor Joshua Clutter, it was pleasure to meet and and to photograph Mr. Barth for Inked Magazine, in his NJ Starland shop, under the insignia that bears the skull that has been there from the beginning.
Take a look at the Starland website for more information and to keep up on the endless projects that Mario is working on.
As always, venture into the world of Inked magazine for content that goes as deep into the tattoo community as you want to go.
